Machine Operator (Thermoforming) – Pactiv Evergreen Inc., Bridgeview, IL
Compensation
Pay range: $24.11 to $26.33 per hour (paid weekly) with an additional $1 per hour shift differential.
Night shift availability: 7 PM – 7 AM.
Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate thermoforming and extrusion equipment to produce quality products.
Troubleshoot line issues with minimal assistance.
Maintain run efficiencies for the line and product type.
Ensure product quality and complete all required paperwork promptly and accurately.
Assist in production start‑ups and shutdowns.
Train future technicians in technical duties and best practices.
Communicate daily with shift management to identify problem areas and devise action plans.
Follow all company rules, policies, safety rules, and regulations.
Maintain safe, clean, and tidy housekeeping in assigned areas.
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years manufacturing experience, preferably in the plastics industry.
Hands‑on Thermoforming experience; plastics extrusion preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude essential.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work overtime and off‑shifts as needed.
