Job Description
Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Warehouse Clerk) Northern Air Systems Inc•Rochester, NY, US
Knowledge Required Knowledge of basic computer skills including file structure and navigation required. Must be able to utilize time clock and item scanning software.
Skill Set Required To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the United States
Travel Requirements No routine travel
Tasks and Responsibilities Accurately pick inventory parts according to pick sheet, confirming part numbers and quantities and indicating amounts of parts picked on pick sheet
Receiving of incoming parts using FIFO method, verifying part numbers, quantities and reporting any damages
Cleaning and packaging of finished goods in preparation for shipment.
Adhering to ISO procedures for inbound receipts, RMA's and NCMR's.
Organizing inventory and shelving to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
Keep warehouse clean and free of debris.
Must be able to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
Ability to read and understand the English language
Other duties may be assigned.
