The Warehouse Clerk coordinates the product shipping process from order receipt to final delivery. This position ensures timely and accurate order fulfillment by managing order flow, communicating with clients and internal departments, maintaining accurate documentation, and operating material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently. The Warehouse Clerk also supports warehouse quality and inventory control activities, including assisting with quality checks and cycle counting.

What You’ll Be Doing Shipping Coordination

Prepare, process, and track outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and carrier labels.

Schedule carrier pickups and communicate shipment details with logistics partners.

Client Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding order status, shipment updates, and delivery confirmations.

Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via email and phone.

Resolve any shipping discrepancies or delays in coordination with internal teams.

Order Flow Management

Coordinate order processing through the warehouse to ensure accurate and efficient fulfillment.

Collaborate with warehouse associates, inventory control, and shipping/receiving departments to prioritize orders.

Monitor workflow and use WMS data to identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the shipping process.

Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Operation

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.

Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed to support shipping operations.

Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.

Quality and Inventory Control

Assist with quality checks to verify accuracy in picking, labeling, packaging, and shipping.

Participate in regular cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.

Report inventory discrepancies or product damages promptly for correction and documentation.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of shipments, orders, and inventory transactions in the WMS.

Enter and update data in warehouse management and ERP systems.

Generate and analyze reports using Excel to track productivity, accuracy, and shipping metrics.

What You Should Have

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, or logistics coordination.

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams).

Strong working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and time management abilities.

Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and inventory records.

Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods, frequently bend, stoop, and reach.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail, effective team collaboration, customer focus, safety awareness, process efficiency, and technical proficiency.
