Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service, consistently delivering Red Carpet Customer Service to all guests and team members.

Process cash transactions for casino customers.

Be knowledgeable and comply with Title 31 regulations.

Enroll patrons into Players Club, issue Players Club cards, maintain accurate player tracking information, and assist the Marketing Department with all casino promotions.

Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette.

Cash customer checks and ensure guest information is accurate.

Balance cash drawers. Ensure that the drawers are at the appropriate impressed amount at the beginning and end of each shift.

Perform buys with main bank to keep drawer stocked throughout the current shift and for the next shift.

Complete all necessary paperwork.

Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.

Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.

Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.

Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.

Perform other job-related and compatible duties as assigned.

Attend all department meetings and training programs as directed.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior cashiering experience and/or heavy money handling experience preferred.

Able to promptly and accurately follow instructions given by Leadership.

Must have the ability to operate computer/computer software programs, copy machines, computer printers/embossers, and other office equipment.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Must be able to efficiently and accurately count money and gaming chips, and make change. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to stand regularly and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee must be able to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. The employee will be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second‑hand tobacco smoke.
