Job Type: 6‑month contract with opportunity for extensions and potential full‑time conversion.
Warehousing Associate (Multiple Shifts) Apex is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring all incoming products are received, picked, packed, and quality checked with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of warehouse and safety procedures, possess some computer experience, and be able to work well in a team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Verify contents of shipment against shipping documents, noting any discrepancies or damage.
Operate a computer terminal to enter receipts and print labels.
Pick outbound orders using RF scanners, verifying quantity and correct product.
Select the appropriate size of boxes, pack the product, and send boxes onto the conveyor line for quality inspection.
Enter handling units into the computer terminal and verify orders with the correct count and product, printing shipping labels.
Accurately label the boxes and send them to the conveyor line for metering.
Mark the correct number on product and label products.
Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety standards in the work area.
What You'll Need to Succeed
High school education or equivalent with at least 6 months of warehouse experience.
Knowledge of shipping, warehouse, and safety procedures and some computer experience.
Ability to multitask and strong organization and time‑management skills.
Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints in a timely manner.
Capability to use RF technology.
Possession of a valid forklift certification is a plus.
Knowledge of a WMS system, preferably SAP.
Knowledge of FedEx, UPS, and DHL Power Stations.
Typing speed of 25‑40 WPM.
