Role and Responsibilities
Manages and instructs students on appropriate behavior using positive behavior support strategies consistent with Board policy and procedures
Provide support and redirection to students who display challenging behaviors.
Data collection, analysis, and maintenance of student interventions. Provide data to school teams and participate in decisions regarding student progress.
Attend team/parent meetings as required; provide input regarding student behavior strengths and areas of challenge.
Attend and participate in professional development dealing with behavior related topics; share new learning with building staff as requested.
Maintain records as required by the program.
Assist students at arrival and dismissal
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree, preferably in the field of education or behavior sciences.
Previous experience working with school aged children in an educational setting is preferred.
Substitute permit is preferred. School may ask employee to obtain permit.
Terms of Employment
Scheduled to work each day that students are assigned to attend class. Schedule to be determined by District calendar. This is a grant funded position and while intended to continue through the length of the school year, unforeseen changes to the schedule may occur.
