Pay: $27.50 per hour

Vehicle Details Airgas operates a modern fleet. Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver‑friendly technology such as onboard computers, collision avoidance, camera, and GPS navigation.

Role Description The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company‑provided straight or box truck. This role includes loading, unloading, delivering, and returning cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cylinder Handling: Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.

Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures, and return empty or rejected cylinders to a plant or branch for refilling.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.

Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.

Valid Medical Examiner’s Card.

Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.

One year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years).

If without experience, may consider an accredited driving school diploma and one year of driving experience.

At least 21 years old.

Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

Ability to routinely lift 25‑75 lbs.; occasionally lift 76‑125 lbs. with equipment.

Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending required.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.
