Description We are hiring an experienced Welder for our 2nd shift team in a custom metal fabrication environment located in Berea.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in MIG and TIG welding, can plan, lay out, and perform advanced welding operations on stainless steel and high‑performance nickel‑based alloys.
As a Fabrication Welder, you will weld in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions, interpret technical blueprints, and contribute to the production of high‑quality, made‑to‑order pressure vessels, furnace components, and industrial equipment.
Essential Functions
Performs GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding on steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys.
Works on traditional projects and completes most fit‑ups required by AECO.
Interprets blueprints and welding symbols with accuracy.
Works independently with reliable judgment.
Completes jobs within time estimates.
Competencies & Attributes
Workmanship that meets or exceeds ASME and AWS requirements.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Accountability on projects with minimal oversight.
Passion for learning and growth.
Commitment to attendance and team reliability.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of MIG and TIG experience.
Basic welding principles and symbol knowledge.
Blueprint reading proficiency.
Basic math skills (e.g., convert fractions to decimals).
At least one certification for GMAW and GTAW welding.
Proficiency with measuring tools (tape measure, micrometers, calipers).
Preferred experience operating a forklift or overhead crane.
Own basic tools: crescent wrench, tape measure, combination square, wire cutters, weld hood, etc.

56 hours per week, 10‑hour shifts (6:00 am–4:30 pm first shift, 4:00 pm–2:30 am second shift).
