Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fit and assemble components according to assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction.
Understand and follow safety and environmental regulations and identify safety/environmental concerns.
Operate hand and power tools, mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, and shears safely and effectively.
Analyze assembly blueprints, schematics, and specifications used in machine building operations.
Verify conformance of parts to bill of material and drawings, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Lay out hole locations and drill and tap holes on parts for assembly.
Align components for assembly, manually or with hoist, and bolt, screw, dowel, weld, or rivet parts together.
Construct, rebuild, and repair machines and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
Perform machine start‑up and packaging.
Essential Education & Abilities
Effective interaction with various departments in the organization.
Prefer 2‑3 years of experience in automation.
Prefer 2+ years of experience in sub‑assembly and full‑assembly of automated machines and tooling processes.
Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
Strong math and computer skills.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly.
High School diploma or GED required.
Salary: $25 - $30 per hour
