Pay Range $33.44/hr - $47.24/hr
DEPARTMENT:
Respiratory Therapy
SHIFT:
12 Hour Shifts (24 hours per week)
Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, performs routine diagnostic cardiac ultrasounds examinations. Obtains necessary images, prepares a complete study summary for interpretation by the cardiologist in the diagnosis of disease and study of malfunction of the heart and major vessels; performs other related functions as required, which include but are not limited to maintenance of equipment, supplies, logs, and medical record documentation. Supports philosophies and complies with policies and procedures of the organization and the Respiratory Department.
Essential Duties
Perform all echocardiogram procedures, including: utilization of 2D, M-Mod, Strain, 3D Quantification, color flow, and Doppler testing for visualization of all possible cardiac structures, prosthesis, and pertinent arterial and venous anatomy and flow of blood.
Exercise Stress Echocardiogram and Bubble Studies (Agitated Saline).
All other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Required:
Completion of an accredited two‑year ARDMS/ARDCS Cardiovascular sonographer program.
Certification:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography Certification.
Certification:
BLS Certification.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 2 years within the last three years full‑time equivalent experience in cardiac ultrasound.
Skills:
Ability to perform detailed Cardiac Sonography; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality.
