DEPARTMENT:
Respiratory Therapy
SHIFT:
12 Hour Shifts
POSITION SUMMARY:
To conduct diagnostic testing procedures and administer treatments to improve patients’ breathing as well as implement and monitor life support equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assess, treat and care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities
Maintain patient records
Select, assemble, check and operate equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:
Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner License
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification
Minimum Experience Required:
1 year in acute care therapy
Licensed nursing school in progress or completion
Experience Preferred:
Experience with pediatric and neonatal patients
Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Pay Range Base pay range: $44.11/hr - $56.41/hr (provided by Bear Valley Community Healthcare District (BVCHD)). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
