Evening (3:45 pm–8:00 pm) with up to every‑other weekend and holiday Job Schedule:
Part time – 12.00 weekly hours Salary Range:
$15.00–$22.50 per hour
Job Summary The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring food temperature, setting up and maintaining a clean serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking supplies, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, receiving payment via computerized registers, and ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines. The role includes operating various kitchen equipment, delivering outstanding customer service, and effectively communicating with patrons and coworkers.
Responsibilities
Monitor and record proper temperature of food.
Set up and maintain a clean and sanitized serving area.
Prepare and serve food items.
Restock food areas and supplies.
Clean and sanitize equipment.
Receive payments for food and beverages using a computerized register.
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, and dishwashers.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co‑workers.
Maintain quality control standards and comply with food safety regulations.
Work independently when necessary and stand on feet for the majority of the shift.
Qualifications
Minimum age 16.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of food service and basic math skills.
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
On‑the‑job training will be provided.
Serv Safe certification may be required depending on location.
Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location requirements.
