Job Summary The
Planner Scheduler
will be based in
Memphis, TN
reporting to the Production Planning Manager.
This role will be in charge of helping materials and production functions. Plans, schedules, coordinates and approves product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.
Responsibilities:
Checking the possibility of order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment, etc.) and confirmation of the order.
Preparation of production plans: input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company and notification of the purchasing group.
Monitoring and controlling implementation of plans; starting necessary actions in case of deviations.
Preparation of long‑term plans forecasts (MPS Forecast).
Monitoring of system accuracy on a daily/weekly basis / General Item data routing BOM CFT data / non‑consumed demand planned WOs.
Preparing Clean‑to‑Build reports, checking material availability, replanning if necessary, informing of order desk ECO implementation tracing.
Monitoring of stock level and handling of stock differences.
Preparing management and CFT‑specificized reports monitoring KPIs.
Giving assistance (replacement) in certain cases to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.
Advises non‑exempt associates regarding day‑to‑day priority of customer requests.
Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead‑time response time and inventory goals.
Coordinates and manages high‑visibility and/or important customer programs.
May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.
Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.
Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.
Provides input to management reschedules and/or interfaces with customer program management master scheduling customers and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.
May also help inventory control, supply chain management, material planning and scheduling.
No travel required.
Qualifications:
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
Demonstrates operations and technical skills and comprehension of Flex’s functional standards.
Demonstrates a general knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary comprehension of Flex policies and procedures.
Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
Ability to operate data‑entry office software including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and database systems.
