Job Summary The restaurant Expeditor ensures quality and proper presentation of food in a timely manner; food orders are prepared and assembled quickly according to recipes and procedures to avoid waste; the line is always stocked, neat, clean and safe.

Job Responsibilities

Timeliness – ensures kitchen orders are prepared in a timely manner and sent out together by directing servers and/or food runners to deliver and complete the orders.

Pace – brisk and steady, organized, no unnecessary steps.

Recipe adherence – ensures proper presentation of each plate and the appropriate temperature.

Cleanliness – maintain the kitchen and all of its equipment to a “like new” condition. Practice clean as you go.

Productivity – measured by quality and quantity of work in a specific time period.

Organization skills are a must.

Think ahead – stock supplies before the rush.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance fluctuating workload.

Ability to work and communicate well with others.

Attention to detail and initiative.

Responsible behavior and professional image.

Positive attitude.

Safe food handling and safety top priority.

Qualifications

2 years of work or related experience preferred.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays.
