Facility Maintenance Technician – Liquidia Corporation

Job Summary This role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, site infrastructure, and utility systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards. The technician will support preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the facility, including vendor‑managed maintenance, critical utilities and general site upkeep.

Job Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS) for HVAC and utilities

Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handling units, and controls

Provide first line maintenance support of facility equipment

Communicate and suggest design concepts to cross‑functional project teams

Maintain accurate, detailed documentation throughout all phases of process development

Conduct preventive maintenance on facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment

Support maintenance and operation of critical utilities such as compressed air, purified water, steam, and vacuum systems

Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime

Maintain site infrastructure, including lighting, doors, and general building systems

Assist in planning and executing shutdowns for major maintenance activities.

Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including logs, calibration records, and maintenance reports

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support facility projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Adhere to OSHA and site‑specific safety protocols.

Job Requirements Education and Experience

Associate degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred

HVAC licensure and/or certifications preferred

Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC and facility maintenance within a regulated environment

Experience with pharmaceutical or GMP facilities strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

Must be able to communicate with a cross‑functional team

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and utility operations

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and SOPs

Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical and electrical systems

Effective communication skills for interaction with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
