Job Summary Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. Interview patients for account information, verify insurance, calculate and collect liability amounts, obtain necessary signatures, explain policies, and attach physician orders to appropriate patient records. Print and collate paperwork, escort patients to units, and refer to available escort as needed.
Job Requirements
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Essential Functions
Check physician orders and attach them to the patient medical record to ensure appropriate tests are received.
Select correct health plan and research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately.
Follow guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Organizational Requirements Adventist Health requires all associates to receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
