Responsibilities
Perform mechanical duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, industrial electrical (up to 480 volts), pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Perform preventative maintenance on our machines.
Operate large flat rolled steel processing lines such as cut to length, slit, shear, and polishing.
Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems.
Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisor of repair needs.
Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures.
Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications.
Use Maintenance X program to maintain supplies and spare parts inventory.
Read maintenance repair work orders and specifications to determine machine and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
Direct teammates to assist in improvement projects and collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
Maintain equipment files and order spare‑parts inventory on service‑center equipment and work effectively with operations to implement a preventive maintenance program to improve equipment uptime or reliability.
May occasionally drive company motor vehicles for local pick‑up for parts.
Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and promote the same throughout the facility.
Perform highly diverse duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Qualifications
Must have qualifications through education and experience in high voltage electrical/mechanical work or Journey-level experience equivalent.
Minimum one (3) years' experience in general maintenance repair work.
Must have qualifications to work on high voltage electrical equipment following all requirements.
Experience performing regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities as prescribed in the preventative/predictive maintenance plan.
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
Position requires availability for emergency on‑call situations to come in and repair equipment as needed in the evenings and/or weekends.
