Job Description
Drive, monitor, and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
Monitor retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
Identify areas of opportunity and create action plans for improvement.
Convey a commitment to outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
Ensure quality standards and effective merchandising, marketing, pricing, promotions, and initiatives according to Brand and Company standards.
Supervise and motivate opticians, CL sales associates, and receptionists, ensuring timely completion of day‑to‑day functions.
Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining high‑caliber staff.
Lead and coach associates toward attainment of sales and customer service goals.
Mentor potential apprentice opticians as permitted by law.
Qualifications
Maintain an active optical license as required by the state.
Experience in optical sales; supervising experience preferred.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
Sound understanding of store operations and success standards.
Strong oral and written communication skills for effective team management.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills for planning work and monitoring progress toward goals.
Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
Demonstrated problem‑solving ability across varied scopes.
Qualifying credentials: ABO and NCLE Certified.
