We help people by making quality eye care and eyewear more affordable and accessible.
As Assistant Eyeglass Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage personnel and inventory, and ensure a positive customer experience from start to finish. Our stores are closed every Sunday, giving you a full day off each week.
Responsibilities
Drive, monitor, and achieve profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
Optimize and oversee the eyeglass department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
Convey a commitment to providing outstanding customer service and ensure all associates do the same.
Ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure effective merchandising and execution of marketing, pricing, promotions, and initiatives according to brand and company standards.
Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates (and sometimes the Receptionist) and ensure timely completion of day‑to‑day functions.
Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs, recruiting, selecting, and retaining a high‑caliber staff.
Lead and coach associates toward the attainment of sales and customer service goals.
Mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
Qualifications
Maintain an optical license as required by the state.
Optical sales experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships.
Sound understanding of store operations and standards for success.
Strong oral and written communication skills for effective management of teams.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills for planning work and continuously monitoring progress toward goals.
Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems of varied scope.
ABO and NCLE certified.
