Job Title: Cutting Operator
Location: Detroit, MI.
Payrate: $17 per hour
Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Cutting Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment and will demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Operate cutting machinery to trim, cut, or slice materials efficiently and accurately according to specifications.
Read and interpret work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as material, location of cutting lines, and dimensions.
Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance cutting and adjust machines as necessary.
Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, and ensuring proper lubrication and adjustment.
Inspect and measure finished materials to ensure they comply with quality and specification standards.
Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operation and continuous workflow.
Follow all safety protocols and workplace procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Document production data and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Cutting Operator or in a similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
Proficiency in operating cutting machinery and understanding of machine maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precision work.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
