Overview Take charge of setting up, operating, adjusting, and certifying advanced equipment to repair and overhaul aerospace components. You'll work hands‑on with a range of processes—from metal forming and oven treatment to precision machining using saws, drill presses, presses, lathes, milling machines, jig bores, and jig grinders—ensuring every component meets exacting standards for safety and performance.

Responsibilities

Set up and run machines and inspection equipment

Operate coordinate measuring machines for making accurate inspection checks

Eliminate defects in set‑up and operation of equipment

Utilize computer system by inputting and retrieving information to perform normal daily activities

Participate in CORE continuous improvement and EH&S activities

Operate jig bores, lathes, mills, grinders and other specialized manual equipment and/or perform finish work and marking of piece parts in various stages of production

Maintain an organized and safe work environment and help to drive improvements in the machine shop that will lead to increases in safety and efficiency

Accurately complete all paperwork associated with tasks being performed

Perform preventive maintenance activities as prescribed by engineering

Keep up to date with all required training

Core Qualifications

High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Certification or credentials may be required for some roles.

Machine operations and set‑up experience.

Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.

Ability to use and read all measurement tools, gauges, calipers, etc.

Ability to hold close tolerances of +/- 0.0002

Knowledge of shop mathematics and geometric dimensions and tolerances, including adding and subtracting decimals.

Ability to recognize early signs of tool wear and failure.

Ability to utilize computer system to input and retrieve information to perform normal daily activities (including email, internet, and other job‑specific applications).

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in aviation parts, tool making, working knowledge of all shop processes and machines (e.g., lapping, grinding).

Experience working with magnesium and aluminum.

Experience with tooling design and creation.

Onsite:

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
