This position provides high-level administrative support to the Program Manager 2 for the Bureau of Community Preparedness Logistics Program and serves as the Administrative Coordinator for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Program. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating, supporting, and strengthening emergency preparedness and response activities across the state. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with the Incident Command System (ICS) and emergency response planning, along with a commitment to public service and community resilience. Experience: Three years of administrative services. Experience substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Supports maintenance, inventory, and operational readiness of the Public Health Emergency Operations Center (PH EOC), ensuring equipment and supplies are prepared for activation Serves as a member of the PH EOC management team and participates in emergency response activities for natural and manmade disasters that pose an imminent threat to public safety Supports training on the use and readiness of personal protective equipment and stays current on OSHA regulations to ensure compliance with safety standards Provides administrative and logistical support by coordinating meetings and Bureau events; preparing binders, copies, and meeting minutes; typing correspondence, MOAs, and requisitions; answering phones; and supporting SNS planning and logistics inventory management Serves as a scribe for the Logistics Chief during incidents as needed and maintains 24/7 availability for emergency response, including working outside of normal work hours based on events or projects Assists with physical security of Logistics offices and the LDH EOC; supports property control; issues identification badges according to established security protocols; and participates in required trainings, exercises, and delivery of emergency preparedness training when requested Position-Specific Details:
