Immigration Paralegal
Location: Short Hills, NJ ‑ Full‑time (40 hours). Experience Level: Some experience preferred.
Job Description We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our consulting office. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions, communicate with clients and government agencies, and ensure compliance with USCIS, EOIR, and DHS requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-864, N-400, I-751, VAWA, U, T, and SIJ petitions)
Draft legal correspondence, affidavits, and declarations
Organize and maintain client files and case‑management systems
Track deadlines, RFEs, NOIDs, and notices from USCIS and EOIR
Communicate with clients regarding case status and document collection
Assist attorneys with interviews, hearings, and filings
Maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail
Qualifications
Prior experience in immigration law
Knowledge of USCIS forms, procedures, and deadlines
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and immigration case‑management software
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases
Preferred Skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese
Familiarity with EOIR filings and court procedures
