Role Summary The

Telecom Customer Premise Technician – Level IV

leads detailed installation, integration, and testing of fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision, ensuring the highest quality in all equipment deployments.

Core Responsibilities

Master installation and testing per Telco Standards; perform all Level IV duties with high competence.

Execute comprehensive fiber system installations, system testing, and integration.

Operate transport equipment such as Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, Dell, Juniper, and others.

Read and follow Method of Procedures, order specifications, floor plans, and wiring documentation.

Maintain accurate technical documentation and review subordinate work for completeness.

Interface with customers, vendors, and teammates during equipment tuning, testing, and system turn‑up.

Apply company policies, safety procedures, and administrative requirements; review time and expense documentation.

Resolve project‑related issues using defined processes.

Generate MOPs, high‑risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.

Perform in‑process and final quality audits to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.

Job Operations (Independent)

Place, remove, or modify equipment without supervision.

Install cable trays, racking, and tower cabinets per drawings.

Set up telecommunications equipment (servers, switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, and more).

Identify, label, measure, terminate, and route cables for power and data transmission.

Conduct hardware and software testing, evaluate performance, reliability, and compatibility.

Complete equipment turn‑up and integration activities.

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and technical problems.

Validate quality for in‑process and finished work.

Perform other duties as requested.

Core Experience

Minimum 5+ years installation experience or equivalent training; prior leadership required (Verizon experience a plus).

High school diploma and two years of technical school or comparable telecom installation education.

Apply practical judgment to interpret written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.

Proficient laptop skills and desktop application use.

Understand company/customer policies, safety protocols, and procedural requirements.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Valid driver’s license; able to pass pre‑employment background checks and be insurable.

Travel & Physical Requirements

Travel 100% of the time within home region; company vehicle provided.

Work a variety of shifts and overnight stays as needed; expenses fully reimbursed.

Vertically lift up to 50 lb; stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.

Safety Compliance with OSHA standards is mandatory. Safety is Pearce’s top priority.

Compensation Base Pay Range:

$62,000 – $72,000 USD

Additional compensation may include performance and referral bonuses, incentive payouts, and stipend benefits.
