Data Center Technician
to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.
Data Center Technician The Technician will be responsible for performing structured cabling installations and server rack deployments in a data center environment. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic.
Technical training will be provided on the job; prior experience is not required. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team under the direction of on-site Salute Leadership.

Atlanta, GA Metro Site Specific Information Our team handles a wide range of technical projects, with a primary focus on rack movements and logistical warehouse support at this site. Some projects may require additional training, such as cabling and infrastructure work.
The primary site is in Fayetteville. Other sites may include Lithia Springs, Palmetto, and Marietta. Being able to travel to other sites is required and one can expect to travel around Atlanta sporadically. Sometimes we may have work on other sites once‑twice monthly. Travel to other locations in the US may be required at times.
Responsibilities
Install, route, and secure structured cabling according to project specifications
Assist with server rack deployments and related hardware setup
Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Complete tasks assigned by the Team Lead in a timely and accurate manner
Support quality assurance efforts by adhering to installation standards
Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members and supervisors
Ability to follow precise instructions
Perform material movement including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process
Perform Data Center pre‑cabling to industry standards
Detailed physical inventory tracking and staging
Timely responsiveness via MS Outlook, MS Teams, text, and/or phone
Requirements
Knowledge of how to properly utilize power tools is required
Ability to read and understand cabling maps
Ability to work at different heights, in confined spaces, and on different surfaces
Ability to use mobile application technology
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Gain proficiency in workplace IT systems for reporting, timecards, expense entry, and the execution of project tasks. Examples Salesforce, ADP, Expensify)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
Good hand‑eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
Ability to differentiate between color‑coded warning signs, labels, and cables
Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
Possession of a valid driver’s license for work‑related travel, as required
Travel Opportunities This role offers exciting travel opportunities to travel within the United States to various Data Center locations. Travel requirements will vary depending on client’s needs and project demands. Work related travel expenses, including airfare, lodging, and per diem, will be provided.
