Description Lead Technician – 5+ years of Lead or Management experience.

L4 Technician – 5+ years of dedicated DC experience required, handling troubleshooting of large GPU deployments in an enterprise DC environment.

L3 Technician – 3+ years of DC experience.

Shifts

A side Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 6a – 6p

A side Nights: Same days as above except 6p – 6a

B side Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 6a – 6p

B side Nights: Same as above except 6p – 6a

Job Brief We are seeking highly skilled Data Center Technicians to join our IT team.

The technicians will be responsible for the break‑fix of GPUs, servers, network, and cabling, and for ticket management (ITSM).

The ideal candidate has extensive experience landing fully populated GPU or network racks within a data center environment—including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, hot‑air containment, and overhead cable containment trays—interpreting BOMs, and knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper, fiber SM, MM, MPO, routing, dressing, connectors).

Responsibilities

Perform tasks listed under Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 as needed.

Move servers and switches to required destinations for installation; inspect for damage; install and cable according to wire maps.

Bundle cables neatly and ensure proper connectivity with network admins.

Install additional components (NIC, drives, memory); audit consumables.

Troubleshoot servers; order and install replacement parts; update firmware; configure IP addresses.

Assist network admins with cable routing, optics replacement, part upgrades, and remote configuration.

Deploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring proper installation and functionality.

Perform break‑fix tasks on GPUs, servers, network, and cabling; manage tickets using ITSM tools.

Land fully populated GPU or network racks, including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, hot‑air containment, and overhead cable containment trays.

Interpret BOMs; install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructures; handle optical modules such as SFPs and QSFP, scope and clean fibers; rack and stack equipment within existing racks; patch fiber and copper cables.

Lead and manage teams; travel as required; comply with safety and data center standards.

Requirements

3–10+ years of deployment and/or break‑fix experience in a data center.

Extensive experience with landing fully populated GPU or network racks.

Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper, fiber SM, MM, MPO, routing, dressing, connectors).

Experience with optical modules (SFP, QSFP) and fiber scoping/cleaning (SC, LC, MPO).

Experience with racking, stacking, and patching fiber and copper cables.

Proven experience leading teams.

Willingness to travel as required.

Experience with DC power and DC‑powered equipment.

Strong communication and documentation skills using customer tracking mechanisms, MS Office, and digital photos.

Experience working in a Microsoft data center environment.

Familiarity with telecom engineering designs for enterprise‑level data centers.

Preferred Certifications

CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience.

CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience.

CCENT or equivalent experience.

Windows OS experience.

CCNA certification preferred.

MCP/MSCE certification preferred.

Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) preferred.

Workplace Type & Pay This is a contract position, fully onsite in Mt. Pleasant, WI.

Pay range: $33.00 – $49.50 /hr.
