QPS Employment Group has a great Press Operator position available at a company in Davenport, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate press brake and other manufacturing machinery.
Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints, drawings, job setup sheets, and process instructions.
Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Perform independent machine setups and adjustments.
Inspect parts throughout the production process to ensure quality and accuracy.
Layout and inspect parts using a variety of inspection tools, including: Calipers, Height gauges, Angle gauges, Indicators, Functional gauges.
Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Requirements
Prior experience operating and setting up press brake equipment (required).
Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications.
Experience performing self‑inspection and quality checks.
Proficient with precision measuring and inspection tools.
Fork truck experience required (certification preferred).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
