State of Tennessee – Big Sandy, TN – Full‑time, 4‑day schedule, on‑site. Opening Date: 01/06/2026 12:00 AM Central Time. Closing Date: 01/19/2026 11:59 PM Central Time. Salary: $44,928.00 – $69,756.00 annually ($3,744.00 – $5,813.00 monthly).
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Three years of increasingly skilled, full‑time labor and trades experience including at least one year of experience in construction equipment operations.
Necessary Special Qualifications:
Valid motor vehicle operator’s license at time of employment.
Commercial driver’s license/endorsement (CDL) at time of employment or obtain within twelve months.
Responsibilities
Operate and utilize a variety of equipment including bulldozers, backhoes, road graders, dump trucks, tractors, dirt pans, and bush hogs.
Use tools to move, load, off‑load, haul, and stockpile dirt, refuse, and other materials; dig holes, trenches, ditches; clean culverts; grade roads.
Assist with training of new personnel within the work unit, including worksite safety requirements and job site standards.
Set up or inspect equipment prior to operation.
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts.
