QUARTZ - MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - NIGHTS Join Dal‑Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United U.S.

Overview Dal‑Tile seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform complex mechanical and electrical duties in a manufacturing environment. The role includes installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting PLCs, electronic controllers, and variable frequency drives.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and replace electronic programmable controllers and PLCs.

Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical systems using handheld devices or laptops.

Design, program, and redesign PLC and operator panel software.

Format hard drives and install computer and application setups.

Locate and diagnose electrical equipment using blueprints, drawings, and layouts.

Compute load requirements for wiring and electrical equipment.

Apply process improvement plans to reduce costs and increase productivity.

Lead projects, returning equipment to production safely and efficiently.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in industrial electronics preferred.

4+ years industrial maintenance experience and 2+ years industrial electrical experience.

Formal PLC training preferred.

Knowledge of serial port communication, VFDs, and process control instrumentation.

Knowledge of servo motors and drive units.

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).

Ability to read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs, score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam.
