Temporary Jobs: Parks & Recreation @ SL County Golf Courses - Meadow Brook Maintenance
Perform general golf course grounds and facility maintenance, including snow removal, cleanup of litter and debris, pruning trees and shrubs, restrooms, maintaining signage, repairing fencing, painting,, raking, weeding, digging, etc. Use appropriate hand and power tools and equipment. Perform grass seeding, sod installation, mowing, aerating, and top-dressing of fairways, roughs, tees, and greens using suitable seed and application rates.
Perform minor maintenance and repair to the course and facilities such as painting, carpentry, electrical, concrete finishing, and other trade skills. Maintain sand traps and perform procedures for changing cup locations on greens in accordance with United States Golf Association (USGA) recommendations to ensure cups and plugs are set at appropriate heights.
Operate a variety of light, medium, and specialized equipment as required to complete assigned work tasks.
Due to the nature of this position, a required pre‑employment background check in accordance with County Human Resources policy is mandatory.
Temporary Positions (At Will)
Average of 29 hours per week or 129 hours per month.
Not eligible for County benefits.
Not considered merit employees.
At‑will employment with termination for any reason, without notice and without pre‑termination hearing.
