Job Summary The Fabricating job family ensures an environment of continuous improvement exists in the organization’s production processes, operating procedures and workflows in order to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction. General areas of responsibility include producing products for OEM partners; developing quality objectives; documenting procedures; implementing and measuring quality measurements; delivering training; and leading the organization through industry quality certification processes. Positions in fabrication as a Paint Line Operator can include job titles such as Burner, Floater, Loader/Unloader, Paint Prep, and Packout.

Job Responsibilities

Read, understand, and follow the steps outlined in SOPs for each task being performed.

Complete required documentation including production records, quality checks, labels, etc. in a complete, legible, and accurate manner.

Perform established quality checks on material at required intervals to ensure all product specifications are being met.

Monitors the loading and unloading of parts to ensure correct hanging methods, line density calculations, and unloading/stacking procedures are adhered to.

Helps train others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures that include hanging methods, parts check/verification, loading and unloading, and packing out parts according to customer specifications.

Collaborates with quality staff to ensure the product is meeting company and customer specifications and adjust as needed to ensure line continuity.

Trained and authorized personnel will operate forklifts and be responsible for burning off painted racks/hardware, reworked parts, and sandblasting after completion of burn off.

Meet established production standards for the department.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.

Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.

Required Skills

Ability to multi-task & handle task with competing priorities

Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment

Solid verbal communication skills;

Understanding of blueprints and work orders.

Previous experience in a powder coating environment a plus.
