Overview
A private aviation services organization is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to lead advanced inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for business aircraft. This role is critical to ensuring aircraft safety, reliability, and readiness within a fast‑paced Part 135 environment. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands‑on experience, an active A&P license, and direct experience working on Challenger aircraft platforms. Key Responsibilities
Lead advanced inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of aircraft mechanical and electrical systems. Perform and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer requirements. Serve as a technical expert for Challenger aircraft platforms, supporting complex troubleshooting and corrective actions. Conduct and sign off on inspections required by FAA and OEM maintenance programs. Accurately document all maintenance actions in compliance with FAA regulations and internal procedures. Coordinate aircraft maintenance status with pilots, maintenance control, and operations leadership. Provide technical guidance and support to junior maintenance technicians as needed. Ensure tools, equipment, and workspaces are maintained in safe, serviceable condition. Travel as required to support offsite maintenance, AOG events, or special assignments. Required Qualifications (Non‑Negotiable)
Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License. Demonstrated senior‑level aircraft maintenance experience. Proven hands‑on experience maintaining Challenger aircraft (300/600 series or similar). Strong expertise in aircraft mechanical and electrical systems. Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities. Familiarity with Part 135 operations. Valid U.S. driver’s license. Valid U.S. passport. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Preferred Experience
Experience supporting heavy maintenance, refurbishment, or modification projects. Prior experience acting as a lead technician or technical authority on business jet platforms. Experience supporting AOG situations and operationally critical maintenance events. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces. Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and aircraft maintenance systems. Tools & Equipment
Technician must supply their own basic toolset. Specialty, calibrated, and aircraft‑specific tools will be provided by the organization. Compensation & Benefits
