Job Description
The Deposit Operations Representative plays a critical role in supporting the bank’s operational integrity by performing a variety of tasks related to customer and account maintenance review, fraud monitoring, and regulatory compliance. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage recurring and ad-hoc operational tasks efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Track and report on overdrawn accounts, coordinate outreach and follow‑up actions to resolve negative balances. Monitor and submit Early Warnings negative account reporting.
Prepare, submit and balance collection reports and transactions. Post payments to charged off accounts.
Review and monitor suspect debit card fraud cases and conduct customer outreach related to potential fraud or account compromise.
Manage dormant accounts and check tracking and escheatment submissions in accordance with state regulations.
Complete recurring monthly tasks and assist with special assignments as needed.
Actively learn and train to serve as backup for other key department functions including ACH processing, exception and item processing, wire transfers and customer and account management tasks. Provide coverage and support during absences or peak workloads.
Provide superior customer service to incoming telephone calls, written, and electronic correspondence from internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and maintain various records, logs, and reports.
Assist with on‑the‑job training of new associates.
Complete written procedures for assigned tasks and update procedures as necessary.
Remain informed of changes in bank policies, procedures, products and governing regulations.
Perform other reasonableduties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of one year of previous banking experience highly preferred.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Complete tasks with appropriate attention to detail; demonstrate strong organizational skills.
Interact effectively and professionally with a broad range of people in diverse corporate, economic and social environments; handle customers in circumstances requiring tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, co‑workers and outside bank personnel.

Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
Normal daily physical activities to include, walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling.
Occasional lifting of 10 - 40 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoors, environmentally controlled.
