Placement Director AP Executive Staffing AP Executive Staffing is partnered with a growing organization in Pembroke, NY, to recruit an Assistant Warehouse Manager. This is a hands‑on leadership role supporting daily warehouse operations while helping drive accuracy, efficiency, and a strong team culture. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to coordinate people, processes, and priorities in a fast‑paced distribution environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, coaching team members, and using data to improve performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support daily inbound, outbound, and inventory operations to ensure accurate and on‑time order fulfillment
Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation of discrepancies
Review WMS data and partner with Customer Service and Accounting to resolve order or billing issues
Promote a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment through daily walk‑throughs and safety discussions
Lead and participate in weekly team huddles to communicate priorities, goals, and performance results
Partner with team leads to plan daily work assignments and balance workloads
Provide coaching, feedback, and support to warehouse associates
Assist with onboarding, cross‑training, and development of team members
Track and review KPIs related to productivity, order accuracy, and on‑time fulfillment
Support process improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures
Assist with scheduling, overtime coordination, and weekly performance reporting
What We’re Looking For
Three or more years of warehouse or distribution experience
At least one year in a lead or supervisory capacity
Strong understanding of warehouse workflows, inventory control, and quality standards
Experience with LTL and parcel shipping
Comfortable leading teams in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
A collaborative leadership style with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement
