The company follows a decentralized business model, with each geographic area led by a Market Leader and supported by Area Directors and General Managers. Assistant Managers support the General Managers in running daily operations, supervising up to 75 staff members, and ensuring a high‑quality service experience.

Compensation Base pay range: $25.00/hr – $26.00/hr. Additional compensation includes a monthly profit share, and overtime up to 5 hours per week.

Position Description Our Panera Bread cafes are upscale, friendly environments featuring baked breads and pastries, made‑to‑order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. The role emphasizes a grease‑free, alcohol‑free workplace, with a focus on morning shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the team to create an outstanding customer experience.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and safety.

Manage labor, scheduling, ordering, marketing, facilities, bakery operations, and catering.

Analyze and plan sales and profitability, develop and execute plans for sustained profitability.

Serve as primary conduit between associates and management, retaining and developing team members.

Control costs, manage budgets, and coordinate operations during shifts.

Interact with customers, conduct table visits, and ensure satisfaction.

Coach and mentor associates through one‑on‑ones, performance documentation, and reviews.

Recruit and train staff to meet staffing levels.

Ensure operations adhere to company values and ethical practices.

Education and Experience

At least 2‑3 years of hospitality management experience.

Degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.

Food management certifications are a plus.

Demonstrated “Run it Like You Own It” mentality.

Physical Standards

Must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to ten (10) hours.

Must safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds.

Must read and write to facilitate communication.

Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
