is a franchisee of Panera Bread with a decentralized business model. Each geographic area is led by a Market Leader who reports to Area Directors, who in turn oversee General Managers. Assistant Managers support the General Managers by running department operations and managing day‑to‑day responsibilities.
Position Description Our Panera Bread cafes are upscale, friendly environments that feature baked breads, pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages. Managers handle up to 75 staff members and ensure top‑quality service. Morning hours are preferred, and there are no late nights or fryers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide outstanding leadership to the team.
Manage overall business performance: ordering, scheduling, labor, marketing, facilities, bakery operations, and catering.
Analyze sales and profitability, and create sustainable plans.
Serve as the primary conduit between associates and management.
Recruit, train, retain, and develop team members.
Control costs and manage the budget.
Coordinate daily operations during scheduled shifts.
Greet customers, conduct table visits, and ensure satisfaction.
Coach and mentor associates through one‑on‑one sessions and performance reviews.
Act as the primary resource for employee questions and resolve issues.
Ensure associates are fully trained and competent in food service and customer support.
Education & Experience
At least 2–3 years in hospitality management.
A degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or hotel/restaurant management is preferred.
Food management certifications are a plus.
Demonstrated "Run it Like You Own It" mentality.
