Position Overview
Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift
General Films Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our facility in Covington, OH. This is a full‑time, entry‑level role working the 3rd shift (10:30 pm – 6:00 am). Training will be on the 1st shift (Monday – Friday).
Base Pay Range $25.00 /hr – $29.00 /hr
Job Duties
Perform safe and compliant maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and power‑transmission systems.
Install, disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, and other mechanical drives.
Diagnose, test, and repair malfunctioning machinery; communicate findings to Maintenance Department or Production Management.
Replace or repair faulty components such as relays, printed circuit boards, switches, and motors; adjust mechanical parts as necessary.
Adjust, align, and calibrate equipment to specification.
Complete preventive maintenance activities as assigned.
Record equipment repairs and performance data in the work‑order system.
Maintain a clean work environment and document housekeeping and 5S compliance.
Other duties as required.
Essential Functions and Experience Previous mechanical maintenance experience and basic troubleshooting ability are required. Candidates may bring certifications in automation or related fields and a strong professional attitude. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and manipulate parts weighing up to 100 lb.
Qualifications
Industrial maintenance experience, including trades programs or military education.
Mechanical and/or industrial electrical maintenance experience.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, meters, calibrators, and programmers.
High School Diploma or GED.
Team‑work orientation and a positive, professional demeanor.
