What you’ll do

You will safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe / Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer

You will restore and/or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite

You will develop and maintain a bore schedule

You will be responsible for the site set‑up and clean‑up

You will load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck

You will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis before starting construction

You will set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic.

What you’ll need

Must be at least 18 years of age to operate company equipment or to drive company vehicles

Authorization to work in the United States for this company

Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.

Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.

May be required to work over‑time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on‑call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.

May include working nights and holidays as needed.

May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements.

Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.

Additional qualifications

Experience running heavy equipment preferred.

Experience with drill set up and design processes, is preferred.

You are able to work in all weather conditions.

You are able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance.

You are able to work over‑time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on‑call.

You are experienced with drilling equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations.

You are able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities – You may have experience with drill set up and design processes –

You may be able to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions.

You are able to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects.

You may have previous construction or utility construction experience. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed. Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens.

Employees may be exposed to toxic or corrosive chemicals as well as moving machinery parts and pieces. Remote work may be required; long driving and sitting will be required.

The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate.

Physical & Safety Requirements

Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low. The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding or stooping while on shift.

The noise level in the work environment for this position is moderate.

Employees performing functions of this position are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions which can include but is not limited to: extreme heat and cold temperatures; inclement weather such as rain, snow, sleet and dust as well as adverse driving conditions including wet roads, icy roads, and fog.

Pay Range: $20.00 – $35.00 hourly.
