Responsibilities The Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist coordinates vendor managed inventory and control activities at customer site locations. The role seeks to maximize customer service, satisfaction, and the availability of Capital Electric products at the point of purchase or warehouse. Primary duties include conducting customer site inventory, replenishing material, interacting with customer personnel and Capital Electric’s inside and outside sales teams, and operating Eclipse and barcode scanning hardware and software. The specialist works with many departments within Capital Electric, including sales, purchasing, inventory control, logistics and credit.
Job Requirements
A clean driving record
Willingness to drive 2+ hours to service customer sites
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Willingness to work in various weather conditions
Good organizational skills
Some electrical product knowledge
Experience with Eclipse order entry and receiving
Customer service skills
Capability to work independently and be self‑motivated
