Dispatcher
We are seeking a calm, detail-oriented, and quick-thinking
Dispatcher
to coordinate personnel, equipment, and service requests for operations. The dispatcher is responsible for receiving work orders, tracking crew locations, prioritizing operational and safety needs, and dispatching the appropriate resources to active job sites. This role is critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and continuous field operations through clear communication, accuracy, and timely decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and process operational, maintenance, and service requests from field supervisors, crews, and vendors.
Gather essential information including job location, scope of work, urgency, safety concerns, and equipment requirements.
Dispatch crews, drivers, and equipment to field sites using radio, phone, GPS, and dispatch software systems.
Monitor crew status, travel times, job progress, and completion to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Maintain constant communication with field personnel, operations managers, and third‑party contractors.
Track and document work orders, job tickets, load information, and daily activity logs accurately.
Coordinate emergency response support for field incidents in accordance with company safety protocols.
Ensure compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety standards.
Handle high‑volume, time‑sensitive requests while remaining calm and professional in fast‑paced environments.
Operate multiple communication systems simultaneously and update dispatch systems in real time.
Qualifications
Prior experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation.
High school diploma or GED.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make quick decisions under pressure.
Proficiency with computer systems, dispatch software, and data entry.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operations.
