This full-time, permanent Industrial Maintenance Leader - Reliability & Automation is at a trusted and well-established commercial product manufacturer that values its employees, fosters a supportive work environment, and prioritizes professional growth and development. The company is growing immensely, with plans to build new manufacturing facilities over the next five years, driving constant investment in new machinery and custom equipment designed internally. The employer views its people as its number one asset, heavily investing in training and development. This is a solid, conservative company that has only had one layoff in 76 years, offering exceptional job security and stability. You will join a highly collaborative team that directly supports manufacturing, allowing you to own projects from cradle-to-grave and see your custom equipment built and implemented.
The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
Supervise and lead a team of Automation & Control Technicians across all shifts, ensuring high workmanship standards and thorough work order documentation
Look into recurring issues on complex equipment and use practical troubleshooting methods to understand what’s causing them and how to prevent them
Create clear, consistent training materials for technicians, mechanics, and operators across all locations, and set up a system where experienced team members can teach others new tools and technologies.
Handle advanced electronic repair and maintenance work, assign tasks to the team, and decide which projects need attention first.
Coordinate improvements across the company by helping put maintenance routines in place and overseeing several automation‑related projects. Travel (about 10–25%) may be needed to help with new equipment installs and to make sure processes are aligned between sites.
