Maintenance Technician (Food Manufacturing)
Location: McDonough, GA
Salary: $36.00 USD Hourly - $40.00 USD Hourly
Shift : 2nd Shift (4 PM – 4 AM, 2-on/2-off/3-on)

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery: mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors, pumps
Repair/replace control devices: switches, sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters
Maintain oven components: burners, valves, bearings, scrapers
Work on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical power systems
Troubleshoot and repair PLCs (Allen Bradley)
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks
Operate metalworking equipment: welders, drill press, grinders, sheet metal tools
Monitor and record environmental conditions (e.g., wastewater measurements)
Collaborate with production, refrigeration, and warehouse teams to resolve plant issues
Assist in developing SOPs and duty cycles for equipment maintenance
Participate in plant safety, SQF2000, health, and environmental programs
Support boiler and hot water systems maintenance
Qualifications
High School Diploma (Technical College or PLC Certification preferred)
6+ years mechanical/electrical maintenance experience (hydraulic/pneumatic + PLC troubleshooting)
4+ years in manufacturing (food manufacturing/packaging preferred)
Skilled with electrical meters, maintenance tools, and metalworking equipment
Experienced with boiler/hot water systems maintenance
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office)
Ability to interpret schematics, plans, and O&M manuals
Physically able to stand, bend, climb, and lift 50 lbs regularly
