Position Summary The Inventory Order Picker Lead aids the Supervisor to manage the workload of all Order Picker, including training and mentoring new employees and performs departmental tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Assisting in managing team members’ work in prioritizing and completion of tasks
Teaching new hires how to perform inventory functions properly using Voice Headset/Scanner
Verifying accuracy and quality
Inspecting for damages or defects, records issues, and notifies supervisorOversees and assists with picking orders in accordance with location and description
Maintaining department database, preparing routine reports, and filing records
Operating department material handling equipment and assisting in routine equipment maintenance
Following departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous improvement objectives, and safety rules
Perform other work as related to Inventory Department
Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures.
Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Licensed forklift truck operator
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

Ability to read and write English and use basic math

ADA Requirements
Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances.
Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force.
Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.

Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects or parts, using measurement devices, and/or assembly.
Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Job Conditions
Inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather.
Hazards: Includes proximity to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, scaffolding, high places, exposure to heat, chemicals.
Required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
Salary: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour.
