Field Technician – MDM Manager

to support mission‑critical systems in a classified environment. This role is responsible for managing and securing mobile and endpoint devices using

Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and modern endpoint management solutions , while serving as a trusted liaison between field services, leadership, and government stakeholders.

This is a temporary, full‑time position to provide backfill coverage for an employee on military leave. The anticipated duration is approximately 12+ months, but may be subject to change depending on the employee's return date. This position is not eligible for conversion to permanent status.

Key Responsibilities Mobile Device & Endpoint Management Administer

Microsoft Intune

for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).

Configure and maintain

Windows Autopilot

for zero‑touch provisioning of Windows devices.

Develop, implement, and maintain

compliance policies, configuration profiles, and conditional access rules .

Monitor device health, compliance, and security posture using Intune dashboards and reporting tools.

Troubleshoot Intune enrollment, policy application, and device compliance issues.

Field Operations & Stakeholder Coordination Serve as a liaison between

unit leadership, government stakeholders, and Field Services leadership .

Support field technicians with escalated endpoint and mobile device issues in classified environments.

Participate in technical meetings, operational planning sessions, and mission readiness reviews.

Security & Compliance Ensure all endpoint management activities comply with

DoD, IC, and organizational security standards .

Assist in responding to

security incidents involving mobile and endpoint devices .

Evaluate, test, and pilot new features within the

Microsoft Intune and Autopilot ecosystem

prior to deployment.

Documentation, Training & Reporting Maintain clear, thorough documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and incident resolution steps.

Train internal staff and field technicians on Intune usage, troubleshooting, and security best practices.

Generate and present regular reports on

device compliance, application usage, and endpoint security posture .

Asset Lifecycle Management Manage the full lifecycle of corporate devices, including

procurement, deployment, sustainment, and retirement .

Ensure proper device sanitization and disposal in accordance with classified handling requirements.

Required Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance (required)

3+ years of experience in

IT support, endpoint management, or field services .

Hands‑on experience with

Microsoft Intune, MDM/MAM, and Windows Autopilot .

Strong knowledge of

Windows 10/11, iOS, Android, and endpoint security controls .

Experience implementing

conditional access, compliance policies, and device configuration profiles .

Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting

DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) environments .

Familiarity with

Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Defender, and Zero Trust architecture .

Certifications such as

CompTIA Security+, CySA+, MD‑102, ITIL , or similar.

Experience mentoring or leading field technicians.
