Within a team setting, provides a variety of administrative and staff support services for departmental operations. This will provide intake and authorization/reauthorization support. Independently plans, organizes and completes daily work under supervision in a manner supportive of a team environment. Staff are expected to be patient‑centered in the daily work providing good customer service to the patients we serve.
Education Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Education Preferred
Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
Experience
1 year of general office experience required
Medical office experience preferred, but not required
Experience with health care authorizations/billing preferred, but not required
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Requires a basic understanding of general office routines and procedures with the ability to file accurately
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient with computers to include keyboarding, basic navigation and use of email
Ability to work with multi‑line phone and computer systems accurately and efficiently
Effective customer service and relationship building skills with patients, visitors and staff; ability to respect dignity of all patients and follow HIPAA rules without breaches in confidentiality
Proficient listening, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects and duties with deadlines
