Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and independent
Maintenance Technician
to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a commercial office property. This is a
solo technician role , ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment and takes initiative in identifying and resolving building issues.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine building inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs.
Complete minor repairs including:
Light bulb and ballast replacements
Basic plumbing (e.g., faucet parts, flush valves, handles)
Operate and troubleshoot
pneumatic HVAC systems
(experience required due to older infrastructure).
Provide excellent customer service to tenants; communicate clearly and professionally.
Collaborate with the onsite property manager and coordinate with vendors as needed.
Research and resolve issues related to aging building systems with minimal supervision.
Maintain accurate records and reports using
Microsoft Office
tools.
Locksmith experience is a plus; otherwise, coordinate with external contractors for lock system maintenance.
Qualifications
3-5 years
of hands‑on experience in commercial office building maintenance.
Strong knowledge of
pneumatic HVAC systems .
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Basic plumbing and electrical repair skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Comfortable working in an older building with deferred maintenance.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, Outlook).
Locksmith experience preferred but not required.
