Dean of Students - Middle School
role.
Responsibilities
Support teachers to resolve differences in communication with parents and students.
Organize student arrival and dismissal.
Organize and review results of assessments for new students, state‑required assessments, and the BASIS Comprehensive or Curriculum Gains program.
Review progress reports and mid‑semester reports.
Organize and execute student academic and behavior support.
Maintain student discipline and follow through with documentation.
Communicate and meet with parents regarding student performance and/or conduct.
Participate in the development of academic and student schedules.
Participate in the planning and execution of standardized assessments.
Support teachers in building positive relationships with parents.
Participate in all faculty and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).
3–5 years of experience in a school setting (charter or independent preferred).
Behavior management or relevant experience preferred.

Strong belief in and adherence to the BASIS Ed model.
Relationship‑building skills.
Ability to effectively analyze data to improve student achievement.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to exercise excellent judgment and decision‑making.
