Title: Process Technician
Shift: Full-time; 2nd Shift (2:45 PM – 11:15 PM) and 3rd Shift (10:45 PM – 7:15 AM) both available.
Salary: Up to $33 per hour, based on experience. Overtime and bonus opportunities may be offered.
Process Technician Role:
This role is responsible for supporting complex program launches and reviewing current programs to improve production efficiency. The Process Technician serves as a "do-it-all" expert, handling everything from mold changes and color changes to machine startup and process optimization.
Process Technician Responsibilities:
Set molds, startup, and troubleshoot the injection molding process
Maximize uptime on all machine centers with the objective of eliminating downtime
Document all process parameters on Master Setup Sheets
Adjust machine settings to prevent part defects and respond to Quality and Operator issues
Drive scrap reduction through corrective action and proper use of mold maintenance forms
Perform mold changes, color changes, and essential cleanup work
Ensure all mold protection settings and process specifications meet requirements
Identify maintenance concerns and assist with resolution to maintain manufacturing efficiencies
Participate in training Process Technicians and Operators as needed
Ensure all safety features, such as drop bars and safety switches, are functioning correctly
Process Technician Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Process Engineer/Hiring Manager
About You:
Possess 3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting injection molding
Demonstrate a working knowledge of decoupled molding principles and the four plastic variables
Hold a High School Diploma or GED
Show proficiency in thermoplastic injection molding and mold set-ups
Utilize experience with robotics, specifically FANUC, C Pro, Whitman, or Ari systems
Maintain a strong work ethic and a willingness to grow through continuous education
Apply training from RJG (Systematic Molding) or Paulson programs
Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, and reaching with manual dexterity
