Engine Builder II Responsibilities
Assemble and build any type of engine, following industry standard assembly techniques
Measure components to close tolerances
Set and verify part clearances
Use measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Use required hand tools
Maintain engine build records with component history data
Engine Builder II Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years of engine build experience
Ability to operate typical shop equipment (hoists, jacks, hand tools, etc.)
Ability to diagnose engine mechanical issues
Basic computer skills and excellent organizational skills
Flexible and eager to learn
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Additional Desired Skills
Ability to complete engine teardown/build skills and follow 543 charts
Ability to perform simple fabrications
Ability to weld and perform basic wiring tasks
Ability to diagnose electrical issues
Ability to set up and test using an engine dynamometer
Availability to work overtime including weekends
