The Company is seeking a VP/Head of DMPK to lead and provide strategic oversight for the design and execution of early preclinical and nonclinical in vivo studies. The successful candidate will be a key touchpoint for various therapeutic area staff, responsible for translating PKPD analysis, and will support PK and PD requirements for discovery and IND-stage project teams. This role involves fostering a culture of high-quality experimental design, data generation, and analysis, as well as driving productive partnerships across clinical, translational, and research teams. The VP/Head of DMPK will also be involved in identifying and managing consultants and vendors for DMPK studies, ensuring compliant operations, and maintaining departmental budgets.
Applicants must have a minimum of a PhD in a relevant field and at least 10-12 years of industry experience, with a focus on DMPK and a strong background in the pharmacology and biology of therapeutic proteins. Experience in oncology and inflammation/immunology therapeutic areas is essential, as is a proven track record of leading a team and overseeing DMPK studies across different stages of drug discovery. The role requires excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams, and a commitment to staying updated on scientific literature and regulatory standards in PK/PD.
